Directions & Parking

From Route 29 (Bridge Street) in Mont Clare, turn onto Towpath Road and proceed 0.7 miles to the gravel parking lot at the end. Free parking for 25+ vehicles.

Lock Tender's House open select weekdays 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and the 3rd Sunday of each month 1–4 p.m.

The Lock 60 Loop

The Lock 60 Loop is a 4-mile, beginner-friendly water trail that combines a downstream paddle on the Schuylkill River with a peaceful return through the historic Oakes Reach canal. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours.
